I think we need to question N4U to see if he has a solid alibi.

Seriously, I think that old threads didn't make it onto the new forum database. Looks like the cut off was Jan 1st.

On the news on Sunday the school is banning tailgating once kickoff is underway. Will force more people to buy a ticket for the stadium and Wackadoos will be crowded with people dying for beer.

They did the same thing at the Citrus Bowl.

No big deal.....but maybe the parking lot thieves will steal less.........

A fifth recruit? Wow... what a difference a championship makes from a year ago.

Yes, mhec, my evil plan was finally caught.

In other news, USF has 10 commits with 3 4-stars and 5 3-stars.

To quote Rivals, "There isn't a hotter team in the country right now than South Florida in the 2009 recruiting class."
"If I help get South Florida into the tournament, then 20 years from now when South Florida is ranked No. 1 in the country, people will look at the history and say, 'Dominique Jones started that program.'"

I bet it would if the school mentioned had no commits. In fact, I betcha it'd be mentioned by someone else, i.e. prorl.

At any rate, we're both enjoying good recruiting.

Does anyone know anything about UCF's QB status? Is Greko gonna be the guy? Will little Weatherford play at all?

Haven't really heard much the QB other than what people talked about at the spring game. Weatherford looked as good or better than Greco to me in the limited time I saw Greco play. We've got an incoming freshman who might be able to challenge right away imo, but we shall see. I think it's really going to be decided just before the season.

Some players I know think it will be Greco, and by a wide margin.

yea it'll probably be Greco, but if he doesn't perform well I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the early pull in favor of Weatherford.

The two latest recruits are TE Tim Teknipp from Georgia, and Safety Henry Wright from Edgewater High School (Orlando). Supposedly Wright was actually the 4th commitment, he committed over the weekend during an unofficial visit, and has started receiving calls from USF, South Carolina, and Alabama. So this kid looks like a real nice pickup. He committed early as soon as he received the offer because he wanted to go to UCF. Pretty nice to have UCF as the #1 option!

Can't wait for the season to start. I'm thinking about making the trek up to Boston, but it's doubtful I'll be able to afford it. :( I'm going to Miami though. I will NOT miss that game!

I'd like to do the Boston game as well, just doesn't look like my schedule is going to work out. Plus, that's a hefty chunk of cash and I think I'd rather save up for a Bowl Game (assuming we qualify).

I'll definitely be at the Miami game.

I think our recruiting this year is just amazing, George was right when he said it'd be a couple year process. Having guys already committed for the following year is a great sign that our program will have continued success on the field.

I still am in awe of what one good season can do for us recruiting wise.

Oh and Mississippi State can shove one of those a cow bells :) if they indeed offered lol

I'm just so impressed at the job that's been done recruiting. We just need to have a good showing on the field this fall and sign all these guys.
