Olympiacos looking to nab Mo

Take it with a grain of salt because sometimes the Greek press gets kind of bored during the summer and starts sh*t up (though they did see Duhon taking the Knicks offer before any press in the States did), but in one Athens paper 'To Fos' (translated as 'The Light') yesterday they said Olympiacos was looking at grabbing Evans. And it makes sense with us not getting A-Parker or Azubuike.
Keep in mind, Mo played for OLY in '02-'03 and he would get offered some good change (not as much as Parker's offers, but good change nonetheless). And we all know how sh*t the dollar is compared to the Euro.
So there's my international basketball contribution as there really hasn't been much news on Mo of late.

Actually I also found a Greek article that Mo visited Pireaus on Thursday and won a lot of "points" with ownership, so maybe it is a legit possibility.
Funny that our basketball team may be worth more than our soccer team by the time this offseason is over.

So Mo Evans would likely make more money in Greece than what he could make here in the USA? I for one would not be surprised to see him back in Europe since he already played there once.

There is a lot of money to be made playing in Europe. A second or third tier NBA player can make the an equal or higher salary while getting to play major minutes. If it was me, I'd go to Europe instead.

Let's say he could get a contract €2M. In the current market, that would be US$3M. But that's actually not correct. A European deal is AFTER taxes. A €2M deal is actually around €4M deal (taxes are high in Y'urp).
Furthermore, Olympiacos is currently a very strong club. They are favored to win the Greek League and projected to make the the Final Four of the Euroleague. This is a good situation indeed!
Finally, Piraeus must be a nice place to live!!!

...I talked to Julius Hodge for like a whole 15 minutes, he's cool...nothing else though...

Athens is an awesome city to live in. Once you get settled in and make friends there, there is no city like it.
