Olumide is playing for the Milwaukee Bucks SL team---last night he contributed 10 points and 8 boards with .50 FG% and 1.0 FT% in 20 minutes off of the bench. He also contributed a steal to the winning effort.

With the current luxury-tax scare for many teams, more guys like OO will get NBA contracts.

WOW!I havent seen him since since the first Ben Wallace Detroit series. What ever happened to Jeryl Sasser and Reece Gaines where are they playing? I think Gaines is playing for Greece, but Jeryl completely fell off the face of the earth.

Olumide is one of those guys that will continue to impress when he plays overseas ball (see Magic vs China last season) and he will always get invites to camps and do well in camps, but somehow he just cannot tailor his game to the NBA...shame too, He's a big fella and actually has some skills...

Reece Gaines is like sliced bread overseas right now believe it or not...I was reading up on something and saw that he was getting a lot of praise for his recent play...go figure...

Maybe Gaines finally learned how to dribble.

I remember a huge article in one of the sports magazines over the summer when the Magic signed Oyedeji saying that he would be a major contributor off the bench and one of the best off-season pick-ups for any team....and then....not so much. But he does seem to have some sort of staying power in that a lot of teams want a look at him time after time.

Too bad it wasn't Olumide Oyedeji signing.

Oyedeji > Foyle

We had him for a full season, IIRC. He participated in 27 games, and even started a handful.

On the off topic, let's bring back Desmond Pennegar.

Desmond Penigar had been in BBL: Basketball Bundesliga for two years. He has played well in Germany.

I remember when we signed Penigar. I believe someone here had their username changed to "King Penigar" (or at least wanted to change it), lol.

Didnt Penigar have a double digit rebounding game in his stint with us? Dude was a scrapper.

Yeah, I liked Penigar's game a lot. Third string bench players should all be either a) potential players who are being groomed for bigger roles or b) scrappy, hard-nosed defenders. Desmond fit very well into the second.
