US Starters?

With Dwight being the only center on the team, and obviously the best center in the NBA, he will be starting. According to a recent article on ESPN.com, LeBron will be playing as a big.
The way we're playing, LeBron is a big," Krzyzewski said.

Kobe will obviously start, potentially at SF, but who will round out the rest of the starting lineup?
PG Paul, Kidd, or Williams
SG Kobe
SF Wade, Redd, Melo, or Prince
PF LeBron
C Dwight
Personally, I would like to see Prince in the starting lineup to give us some extra defense and hustle. At PG, you really can't go wrong. However, I would go with Kidd for the experience factor.

how did u forget melo? hes USA's best player in international play. kidd will get the nod to start bc of his experience and the way the team plays when hes on the floor; they played rly well in the qualifiers w/ kidd bc its a permanent fast break when hes on the floor.
it will probably be:
Kidd
Kobe
Melo
Bron
Howard
just like it was in the qualifiers

Kidd, Kobe, Carmelo, LeBron, and Dwight is a given for the SL. There is no way Ason won't start at PG, and Melo will undoubtedly be starting as well.
I see D. Wade is the first guy off the bench, and with the smaller competition, I could see him playing SF occasionally as well.

Kidd has had unparalleled success in the olympics (iirc, he's never lost an olympic game), has a ton of international experience from the last two competitions, and has the respect of absolutely everybody on the team. He's earned the starting spot, and Coach K wouldn't give it to anyone else. I would be absolutely shocked if Chris Paul started in his place.

eh hes older, less versatile, and cant stay in front of his man half the time, i would love to see chris paul drive to the front of the rim and pass it out to melo kobe or dwight

I like...
PG-Chris Paul
SG-Kobe Bryant
SF-Lebron James
PF-Carlos Boozer
C-Dwight Howard
Good luck beating that lineup.

I think the team you should go for as the starters would be
PG-Kidd
SG-Bryant
SF-Anthony
PF-James
C-Howard
Not only do you have defense here but your offensive is disgustingly good. I see alot of matchup problems in the future especially for the european teams. I do not see how any european team can compete to this squad. not to mention what we have off of the bench.

Kobe, Wade, Melo, and LeBron are all similar players. All are great scorers, Kobe obviously is a step ahead on defense...but essentially all of these guys bring the same thing to the table. That is why I would love to see Prince get a lot of playing time. He is the kind of guy that brings the X factor and improves the team as a whole.

The trinity can't be broken up - so Wade and Kobe at the guards, James and Anthony at the forwards and Howard at center. Wade will whine if he does not start bringing down the morale of the team.
