BREAKING NEWS: Maurice Evans holding out for more money

After initially agreeing to a three-year, $6.4 million contract with the Warriors, free agent Maurice Evans has changed his mind and is holding out for more money.
It always comes down to money, doesn't it? Assuming the two sides reach an agreement, Golden State is unlikely to match the Clippers offer sheet for Kelenna Azubuike -- they only have until Friday to do so. Jul. 23 - 7:23 pm et

Either that or him agreeing made another team jump at him with a higher offer...maybe a Euro team?

Unless he signs with a Euro team; he'll get 50 million and automatically become a pre-season MVP candidate overseas.

Maybe he wants to join J Chill in Greece if they dont up the offer....I know I would. Get paid more money and probably have a better chance to win a ring.

Could be true. But you never know he may get what he wants or simply accept his offer. We really don't know how much more he is asking for either. Where as with Deshawn we knew it was an outrageous.

This speaks volumes of the perceived worth of Mo Evans and Blogans around the league. One can't get an offer for more than $2.2M/yr and the other was afraid to opt of a contract that paid $2.9M for fear of having to take a pay cut. It's unbelievable that JJ wasn't even given a chance to play behind these 2 scrubs.

I'll say +1 that Reddick couldn't get playing time behind both of them.
Hopefully now that we have the pg and Pf(Battie/sort of) maybe we'll get the chance to see the kid shine. OR maybe he'll get injured before the season starts again and... Err, nevermind.

He turned down a 3 yr - 10 mil contract offer from us, IIRC. Wound up getting stuck with the Wiz for the min.
