Wow! Didn't see that coming!
The Kings actually get a nice piece in Donte Greene, if true.

Shane Battier, Aaron Brooks, and Carl Landry for Hedo Turkoglu, Keith Bogans, JJ Redick, and a #1 pick?

Big WOW, this trade was unforseen by myself. Also, this idea isn't so bad either.

If it's really Jackson, next years 1st, and Greene, the Rockets got a hell of a deal.
I'd expect the Rockets to be legitimate contenders next season.
Damn, imagine having the luxury of putting Battier and Artest together defending the wing. Yikes.

On paper that team looks REALLY good. However, a team led by T-Mac in the West= 1st round loss lol.

interesting...Battier & Artest? well, throw trouble with superstar guards out the window, that spot is shored up...everyone seems to be complimenting the Rockets on getting very little, but The Kings got a little better here in terms of their overall goal, Jackson is a solid veteran PG and he will bring a lot to the table for them behind Udrih (making Douby even more expendable) and if they get Dante Green in this deal they essentially wind up with two of the better talents in the draft this year Thompson and Green, and they dont have to worry about paying Artest any longer. idk, something to think about...

Eh, I don't know.
It looks like they're going to rebuild, so the should be stacking young talent. In that regard, Jackson does nothing for them. Maybe for a Playoff team, but not them. Speaking of, maybe he's bought out and returns to Houston.
So, they get Greene, who may be good, but I think people got a little too high on after his one Summer League blow up.
Then they get a first rounder next season. Well, if this trade is any good at all for the Rockets, this pick should be a late first.
So, essentially, two late firsts for Ron Artest. Right now, it doesn't look good to me, and I can't imagine it looking very good in the future. Though, this is the same team that just went after Ewing Jr.

You know I already found it funny that Memphis traded Gasol for junk, yet they (reportedly) want a 1st + player(s) from us JUST for a 3rd string PG.
I now find it even more hilarious that the Rockets give up essentially the same thing Memphis wants from us for Critt and they get Ron freaking Artest. Unbelievable.

I thought you couldn't trade rookie pick's till like November or December....... Anyway, Houston just got a helluva lot better....look at their starting line-up.
Alston/Brooks
TMac/Head
Battier/Hayes
Artest/Scola/Landry
Ming/Deke

Oh and I now find it impossible to believe that Artest for Hedo rumor after seeing the Kings trade Artest to a team in their own conference and get nothing even remotely close to Hedo's value in return.

In fairness, I think they want to acquire young and cheap talent, not a veteran who about to look to get paid. Nevertheless, you'd think they could have gotten something better.

Surprising?
Nah.
I wonder about the chemistry now. Serious head cases.
