Abby Redick -- who already has been offered scholarships by Illinois and Virginia Tech -- has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.

Redick is the fourth member of her family to suffer a major injury during their high school or college career.

Older sister Catie suffered a torn ACL in her left knee while playing for Campbell University. J.J. Redick missed three weeks of his senior year at Cave Spring with a foot injury. Another brother, David, suffered a knee injury after his junior year of football at Cave Spring but returned for his senior season.
