Battie's contract expires the year after this coming season and Collison expires a year after that. From OKC's side i still dont see why they would make that move. I can imagine OKC asking for some draft picks as well.

I've been wanting Nick Collison for about a year now. He's the solid role player PF that we need. He doesn't need the ball to be effective, and he's a great rebounder. I'd definitely listen to a trade for Collison.

I dont have a link because it was a couple of weeks ago, but I remember reading that the Magic looked "into" a trade for Collison that would include Battie. It was on a Hoopsworld morning report i believe. Anyways they said that the love affair of Collinson with the Orlando media wouldn't get its wish before the deadline. That's what I got from the article. It wasnt anything special. But I would love for the Magic to get him.

I would like this to go down but it would not happen. OKC would be dumb to do that trade. The only reason I could see them doing it is for more flexibility down the road. However, I think the Magic would have to do this b/c he is an upgrade over Battie imo. Doubt that it would happen though.

What is that supposed to mean? What reporter in the Orlando area keeps proposing trades for Collison? I haven't seen that much.

Everyone has always seemed to like Nick Collison, so between e-mails the media receive, and trade checker with Collison going to Orlando. It's more of a look at the facts comment. Although I can't recall a couple times or even 1 time that Collison was brought up by Magic media.
