Hmmm.

Assuming Oden is healthy, this is a good deal for Portland. I don't know if I'd do it, but it is a nice idea.

I agree, it would shore up Portland's roster as well and give's them the veteren in Turk that they need...

Steve Blake/Jerryd Bayless/Brandon Roy
Brandon Roy/Rudy Fernandez/J.J. Redick
Hedo Turkoglu/Martell Webster/Nicholas Batum
LaMarcus Aldridge/Ike Diogu/Shavlik Randolph
Greg Oden/Joel Pryzbilla/Raef LaFrentz

Outlaw isn't gonna be happy playing second fiddle for long, so i could imagine he'd bolt at the first given chance.

it's probably a pretty decent deal, however, i'm a homer and would prefer to see.....

Hedo (plus 1st rounder, fran rights, whatever we have to throw in)

for

Aldrige

get it done Otis!!!!!!

I would do this in a second... Outlaw is only going up... look at his stats, they get better every year. Channing Frye is a good bench player.. and I really like Sergio Rodriguez. I think he has a bright future.. Outlaw can switch on and off between SF and PF, why would he be playing second??? He would be in the starting lineup. Shoot might as well just throw Cook in too just to dump him off. I would do this deal right now if i could. I'd do the Aldridge one too but Portland wouldn't.

I think a similar player to Aldridge who would be a lot more attainable is Andray Blatche.

ehh not a big blatche fan... I like the original trade... Outlaw would start for us. We would have a similar layout to what we have now with Hedo.. accept Outlaw's game is only going up, while IMO Hedo has hit the roof. Outlaw is very clutch too just like Hedo was last year. Sergio Rodriguez would be that 3rd stringer (possibly second and maybe a distan future 1st) we have been looking for, I think he has great potential. Channing Fry is just icing on the cake, he's not great, but he could be an energy guy that can come in and just bang around get some boards. This deal would be great, the more I think about it the more I wish it could actually happen.

Channing had a great rookie season. He'd be a good PF to have next to Dwight.

If you take out Sergio and add in Jerryd Bayless, I would do this. Sergio and Frye are average at best, and while i like Outlaw, I like Hedo a lot more. Outlaw and Bayless = Hedo IMO.

This idea has been flown around before, and I still love it. Portland is a great trading partner for us. A young, talented team without veteran leadership. Hedo would fit that team very well, plus it plugs all of our holes, and bolsters our bench in one move. We get our pf, a very good backup sf, and a point that can push Jameer. Its really the most ideal scenario out there.

Great trade offer for both squads, but I'm not giving up on Hedo any time soon.

i actually think a trade like this WILL ultimately go down before the deadline this year.

it would probobly keep our window for the chip open a bit longer.

I do think however that we need an old ass junkyard type of player (like sheed) to take home the chip.

This is by FAR not a fit for the Magic. First, let me preface by saying that those 3 players are going to be awesome players. But let's face it, they're not what this team needs.

If we're going to trade Hedo for a PF, Frye and Outlaw (if you consider him a legit 4) are not the guys to shoot for. We need a solid PF who can play the high post and hit a jumper, play defense, and rebound. We essentially have that in Battie (I'm not saying he's our answer for the next 3 years). What I'm saying is we need someone who plays like Battie that's younger, i.e. Nick Collison.

I get the feeling a lot of people in this thread haven't seen Frye or Sergio play recently. Frye isn't an upgrade over Gortat and Sergio is much worse than Jameer.

This is a latter trade at best. Outlaw and Bayless or no deal.

I wouldn't call Outlaw soft neccissarily... he's pretty good at driving to the hoop he's got a good shot, and he's clutch, he isn't a banger but I think Frye could be a banger off the bech

Of course it's a lateral trade right now, but like we're saying, Outlaw is only going to get better, Imagine if he was getting Hedo's minutes bro? We get three young players on the cheap, for a guy who's possibly on the outs, a guy who rarely plays, and a guy who's never played a min for us.... I'd do this deal just for hedo + outlaw straight up, but I like the depth we get with the full deal if Portland would do it..
