Howard needs to add Pump Fake

He is to predictable right now. When he goes to make his move every player in the league knows he is going straight up with it. It would help with his lift as well. He is getting blocked a lot lately and it would greatly improve his offensive game if he used it sometimes.

The reason he doesn't pump much is because he knows he is going to get hit hard while he is on the floor if the defense has the chance.

You act like it's that hard to pump fake; anyone can do it. I doubt, though, that it would actually do anything for him except when he's facing up and Dwight doesn't face up that much to begin with.

Bringing the ball down on a pump fake just means the 2 other defenders swarming him have an even greater chance of swatting the ball away. He's having enough trouble with that already.

For the pump fake to be effective Dwight would have to actually be a threat to hit a jumper.

I have no idea why Dwight doesn't try that off the glass jumper much at all. Hell, he drained a 22 footer during the ASG. He can make jumpers.

It wouldn't hurt at times. He needs to work more on protecting the ball though. He still is easily stripped of the ball in the post.

Not true.

If he were to cut across the lane like he does with the baby hook, but stop and pump fake. If the defender bites then he can go up for an easy lay up or dunk and its the same with the spin move. The pump fake is not limited TO JUMP SHOTS.

The problem with Dwight pumpfaking is him getting ripped. When he brings the ball down he usually gets swarmed by defenders. Then, he will either turn it over or get fouled. I'd rather him just go right up with the ball.

The problem with him pump faking is that he has a greater chance of turning the ball over and he does that enough already.

don't wooorry about it...we aren't gonna see Yao Ming or Dekembe Motumbo in the playoffs...other than those two nobody really stuffs howard that much...maybe sheed once in a while.

Cat Man, is that you? You used to give me whiplash when you'd pump fake about 10 times before you'd take a shot -- on about 20 different plays per game.

Howard's hook shot will be his killer move. If he also adds a 8-10 foot jumper, he will be a high 20+ ppg guy.

if dwight could do ANYTHING like an up and under... he would be unstoppable. How pretty is that clip they show of hakeem doing the double up and under on robinson? imagine if dwight did anything like that at all! i am surprised he doesnt
