This is the problem with that. I think you're getting a glimpse of what the offense would look like if this were the situation because, for whatever reason, Hedo is not really here right now like he usually is.
I just haven't seen anything to indicate to me since he got here that Rashard has another level. He plays kind of passively, and pretty much the same, every game all through the season and postseason. 16 pts, 4-6 reb. Occasionally a 20-pt. night. If he is going to be your No. 2 guy, that's not enough. And right now, I think Hedo is playing worse than he ever has played for the Magic. When he isn't playing like this, he at least will attack, which is something that Lewis doesn't seem to have the desire to do. Since Hedo is struggling, Lewis could be taking more on his shoulders. But he has not. So you have to have someone else. I'm not saying it has to be Hedo, but it has to be someone who can do those same kinds of things. And I'm not sure how you get that guy for the midlevel without any draft picks.
Pietrus....he played almost 20 minutes last night. He finished with 6 points on two three-pointers, zero rebounds and zero assists. On most nights, he has stopped going to the basket and is too quick to take his 3s. He rarely passes the ball. I think he doesn't know what to do with it so he just shoots.
That is not enough. Dwight needs more help.
This is a tough series for Tony. He's not quick enough anymore to defend most of the Sixers. And I know we say that we need a PF who is capable of hitting the jumper. But it seems like Tony keeps getting further from the basket. When was the last time he got a rebound and followed it up with a layup or dunk at the basket other than that crazy drive for a dunk he made last night. I really am not sure what is going on with his game.
