Local support for the Magic during the playoffs

Post#1 » by Edrock » Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:58 am

Hadn't seen a whole lot of it, but I went to the Chik-Fil-A in Waterford on Friday and all the employees had the Blue & White T-shirts on. I thought that was pretty cool, but also kinda sad that it was the FIRST example of support I'd seen out in the community for the playoffs. On a semi-related note. I went to Briantos in Avalon to get a cheesesteak today, when I realized we were playing PHILLY. I said this realization out loud, and said that I should change my mind, since I didn't wanna jinx the Magic. The guy behind the counter said it wouldn't matter and the Magic were gonna lose regardless.... I walked out after he said that. I also decided that I wasn't gonna eat there until after the Magic/Sixers series.

I was gonna order anyway until the guy working there bad-mouthed the Magic. THAT was the reason I didn't patronize the place... It's a shame... They're FANTASTIC cheesesteaks... Not a big deal though I can wait another week or so...

that's cool about chick-fil-a employees. Yeah it sucks, we don't have the greatest fans. problem is most people that live in Orlando came from up north.

I was born in Orlando and I'm 26, and I will be a die hard Magic fan till death and always show my support.

I'd have done the same thing. I applaud your decision.

lol yeah they can't even sell out their playoff games, pretty sad...specially the way they're playing right now, you would think people would be excited over there.

at least they werent offering tickets to our fans like Detroit. I hate Detroit, but I felt bad watching them play their last playoff game and having to listen to Lebron James chants... okay I didn't really feel bad
