Look… there is absolutely no reason you don’t try to tear Boston’s heart out AT THIER HOME, amid the crisis they’re supposed to be having, ON BLOODY OPENING NIGHT.
This loss was a failure for a number of reasons, but if doc is this locker room guy/ behind the scenes mofo who ain’t good at Xs n Os why he ain’t had them ready and hungry?
So, my question is: who on this squad is a killer? A guy who wants to tear your heart out and eat that ish right in front of you?

Re: Who on this squad is a killer?
Embiid is a classic bully...but in the TV show sense lol.
Maxey is the nicest man alive.
Harden gives very little ****.
Tobias reads books.
Those are our best players.
PJ Tucker can mean mug all he wants...he's a role player
The biggest thing is that the moment we pivoted away from Jimmy was the moment everything was kinda over. He was the "dog energy" guy who is also actually good we needed.
For this team to win, they simply need to just always be hot...its not a team that is going to be able to scrap back into games as our best two players rely on flow and grifting....which doesn't happen when you are down in a game. Maxey is our only explosive player (Harden can be too TBF) in terms of a one man run but again is too nice of a young man to step on toes.

You're going to need Harden to play like he did last night almost all the time, and be accompanied by Maxey playing like he did late in the season against Miami last year, where he took the game over late and won it. Essentially you're going to need a replication of Paul and Booker in Phoenix.
But that would involve assigning Embiid a more peripheral role and not dumping the ball to him on the wing where he flounders around and turns the ball over far too often. Embiid has to realize he isn't Giannis. He's not going to break players down from the wing or the point and get all the way to the hoop. Harden and Maxey need to be doing that for this team.

It's really time Joel changes his game a bit and focuses on becoming the DPOY. We have enough offensive power now, we don't need him to score 30+ points.

Tobias. He’s like Joe Goldberg from the Netflix series “You”. You think he’a a nice guy and know all the books but deep inside he lust for some blood.

Oh he's ready and he's demonstrated it. The team just has to be comfortable with inevitable variation in his play in that regard, while he assumes more of that role. If they continue to believe the ball has to go through Embiid in the clutch, however, then Maxey will look continually "not ready."
