Not sure I agree with this, or how to read it. Tobias "upping his offense" usually means more iso's and pounding the air out of the ball since that's his natural game. As long as he has to be on this team, I'd prefer he play defense, rebound, run the break, and simply space the floor in the half court. We have enough creators with Harden, Embiid, and Maxey.

Make layups, shots within 3ft, reduce turnovers/blunders in the paint, be more aggressive perhaps... ✓✓✓✓

Tobi is in a funk right now & needs to get out of it but he’s an elite role player. He just gets paid too much so we all hate him lol.

15/6/3 per game on 49/38/88 shooting splits. Plays above average defense against both SF/PF & can hold up in switches. Good locker room guy who quietly leads while accepting his role.

His only real issues are that he’s paid too much & he folds a bit under pressure.

They're winning games where they generally would have folded their tent before, and doing it with clutch play and solid execution in crunch time no less.

Playing from behind every night in the playoffs is a dangerous way to go about your business, so we still need to see this team put 48 minutes together on a consistent basis. Turning it on and off becomes a hell of a lot harder in a short series against the Bucks and Celtics of the world.

Yeah that's where I'm at. I'm believing a lot more because the team just looks like confident pros in these tough situations over and over again, and because the offense has another gear it can get to when it needs to (unlike previous seasons when we still won RS games). And the team also has a clearer offensive system than before, not just an endless series of chaos-y DHOs and poorly executed picks, which is crucial for the PO.

But yeah they can't keep giving up 15-2 runs in the 2nd or 3rd quarters. Teams like MIL and BOS can definitely have cold streaks but they're more poised under pressure and know how to not get totally run over on either end during those runs. I've been loving these comeback wins but they do generally rely on the other team blanking on like 8 of 9 possessions straight (besides the MIL game, where we were just ridiculous in the 4th quarter on offense). Would we be feeling as good if Dame or Jrue hit literally one more close shot in the 4th in those games?

Funny part is that the real MVP of this team might be Harden. He's the guy who is the primary conductor of this offense in the biggest spots, and it is the development of the lethal P&R he has going with Embiid that has made the biggest difference in this group and has helped make Embiid nearly indefensible.

How long have we been screaming for a real PG? Well, we got one of the GOATs.

And he reads a lot of books. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

I just can't trust him in the clutch, and never will unless we somehow won it all this year. Even then ...........

Nah Embiid has carried this team's offense and obviously is a much better defender, Harden has been very good but it's easier to do what he has been doing when he doesn't have to carry the burden most nights, he won't have to take as many bad shots compared to when he was a 1 man crew and he can just focus more on distributing.
But yeah he is the PG we wanted all the time like 2 years ago.

That's one way to say that it stinks

Whoever comes out of the East is winning the title. Only team i would trust in the west is the Suns but they haven't had much time to build chemistry, i can't see them competing with the Bucks/Celtics/Sixers.
