Louis King was impressive as well. Is it at all possible that he, Mac, and Springer all make the roster next season?

Here he is pretending that he's going to play Jaden Springer significant minutes in the playoffs. Give me a **** break.

Thanks for this. As a coach you really have to manage the minutes of these 35 year olds. Oh wait Springer is 20 years old. Could Doc be actually contemplating playing Springer in the playoffs and wants to limit the Nets scouting exposure to him? I mean everybody has access to G League footage but G League is not the NBA.

This is not a color thing. But McClung should see if his agent can get him to a team in serious rebuild mold. Then he can work on having a game like a Tim McConnell or an Ish smith. Two guys that were once 76ers both got a payday and are still in the league.

And maybe I'm being a complete homer here but Louis King looked good shooting that 3 ball today.

I don't think there's ever been another player on this team that has gotten so many chances to show what he can do as much as Shake has. And he still manages to be inconsistent as hell. It's maddening when he plays on the control and he concentrate on just passing you can be very good. When he concentrates on just scoring he can be very good but when asked to do both it's just a recipe for disaster.

Ah! An alternate theory that actually makes sense. Let's go with that, because I don't have anything better.

Maybe he could, but I don't think King would ever get a chance to show what he can do here.

So our bench depth next season should be solid right.
I'm guessing
Shake and Furk will be gone...
Niang(Maybe)

Melton
Springer
House
King
McDaniels
Reed
Harrell

I think we should thank the G League affiliates and the Pistons for giving Louis King time to grow before finally landing with us. At the time of his draft, it was kind of inconceivable that a 6'8 (7'+ WS) shot creating prospect with excellent shooting numbers and a blue chip HS background would go undrafted, but he did. I'm sure there were personality concerns that were disqualifying. After going undrafted and being bounced around, I feel like we jumped on him right at a coming of age moment. I've been a bit tongue in cheek about him replacing Shake next year, but I do hope behind closed doors, or practices, he is impressing enough to sign a multi year deal for cheap and we have a nice bench piece moving forward.

Louis King, 6-9 forward, Oregon, 20. “The big questions are going to be off the court. It’s a mixed bag there. I’ve heard he’s not a hard worker, never on time for anything. No doubt there’s talent there, but I don’t trust him for a lot of reasons. He’ll get drafted but I don’t know if he’ll stick. You’re always going to want more. His ability to take coaching got better as the year went on.”

That's some nice young bench depth. They all fill a need as well..
