I was a bit worried with PJ Tucker bullying Paul Reed in the end of the game. It worked, but i dont know if that kinda behaviour is good in the long run. PJ played great defense, but he doesnt shoot, so i dont know if he should be criticizing other players...

From everything I've read, Paul is using it well, although it did give me pause to hear Doc talking about it, saying it was excessive. But if you read this article, it makes it seems like this happens to lots of players, and Doc just publicised it lol.

Good article thanks for posting it. And while I'm at it I want to give a shout out to our #1 draft pick of this past draft De'Anthony Melton.

People said he was a bit too old to be drafted in the first round. But Morey saw something in him./s

Hostile environment, your team is down, your taking a 3 point shot to win the game, a defender is on you. Yeah sounds really easy to me.

Also if they don’t switch he gets an immediate wide open 3, that’s the whole point of switching like that…

Teams didn’t used to switch because guys wouldn’t bomb from 30 feet whereas guys practice that now

Obviously you wouldn’t switch on Chuck because teams were happy for him to take a 3 instead of backing down a guard

So basically you are saying we should thank Curry for that win?

Hah yeah though I think Harden would say he played a role in that too

Harden has been selfish all year... I've been asking for him to shoot that midrange all year. That thing is a cheat code for him.

Harden is an analytics genius and plays 100% Moreyball. In the regular season when they call fouls, the midrange is not as efficient as going all the way to the rim.

Now in the playoffs where the refs swallow their whistles, midrange is often the best shot you get. So he's adjusted.

Its also the less challenged shot. Its one of the biggest reasons why Celts struggle in crunch time

Its easy because you are prepared for the moment.

Harden practiced that step back shot for more than a decade.

Doc has got our team playing crunch time basketball almost every game. Those close games were designed for these type of moments. Our guys CRAVE for crunch time.

And if you are not prepared, you’d pass the ball like a hot potato because you are not able to generate good looks, until you turn the ball over and pass it to Maxey for a fastbreak lay-up. Or you ask Marcus Smart to drive and take down a help defender to open up Tatum, but Smart miscalculated everything because he’s not that used to doing it in those type of moments so he ended up fumbling the ball

I get what you are saying and you are absolutely right when you put in the time and drill that shot over and over again, it becomes easy for you. I just did not like the way Charles made it seem like every player could do that. Well at least it came across that way to me. That's like when people used to say Jah could roll out of bed and get a double double every night. No one appreciated the hard work it took for him to do that. :D /s

I like how Doc threw that in there without being asked to let us know that he isn't the only one.

The only problem I have with any of it is Rivers always feeling the need to tell the media everything. Teams should sort out their own issues however it works for them, but it's none of the media's damn business. What goes on within the team should stay there, and you would think Rivers has been around long enough to get that.

I remember when he was a player with the Knicks that the media loved him because he had diarrhea of the mouth. I used to think that if I was a player on the Knicks I might tell him to shut the hell up.

It was caught on video, probably best he talked about it. Maxey talked about it. Paul Reed talked about it. It was a thing.

Aah, gotcha. Still doesn't change what I said about Rivers.

MVP Harden making an appearance was... unexpected. Good win.
