Thibodeau outcoached Nurse in the playoffs last season and Thibodeau has never been known as an elite tactician. That was Nurse's thing. During that series I remember thinking I expected the Sixers to scheme up more answers than they did, like you always see Spoelstra do, and Spoelstra has always done it with lesser talent. We are getting none of that from Nurse right now.

He's been highly disappointing.

Players still have to execute. I am more disappointed with the effort on defense and lack of urgency than the schemes the coaches are running. Yes there are times where our offense looks like a street ball game, but there were plenty of open/good looks that we just flat out kept missing. And Drummond has to stay out of foul trouble. We're undersized and undermanned as it is

Trying to pump his value is going to be tough with his lack of athleticism. Rather hide him on the bench and have some teams evaluate him based on his Duke tape still.

NBA scouts arent dumb. He doesnt have real value until he plays and shows something.

They have egos though, and like to think their evaluations are correct (until they're not). This goes doubly for GM's.

McCain just have to take lots of deep 3s or run a two man game with Drummond, if the center drops back, pull up for the shot. If the center steps out, pass to Drummond, letting him draw in the defense and kick it out to the open shooter. Same with Eric Gordon.

We have to take more 3s. Even if you watch the old Spurs when they sat out Duncan, guys like Patty Mills and Belinelli were letting it fly. If Maxey is getting deflated from those misses then sit him out then put him back him when he resets.

Then defensively, we need to limit those drives and backdoor cuts which is leaving our undersized bigs vulnerable. Maybe sag off a little.

The refs aren’t going to give us calls so those drives will get non calls or blocked.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

The team just looks like it doesn't have a identity yet. The ball isnt moving around enough for easier shots and if we our lack of shotcreation and playmaking they are struggling. I think at some point you will want to pair Maxey with a big PG or playmaking normal size guard/wing. Also in need of some rim protection even when Embiid returns.
