And even more that the actual plan is to compete. Waiting for the big Morey deadline trade that empties the cupboard for a DFS type. Might as well put the final nails in the coffin.
Well they are 2 games out of competing, playoffs. Also we have stars that are old as my great great great grandfather. I do hope Morey doesn't make a trade at all but that's not in my power.
When your in the playoffs with the current age of this team, you have a chance. That's all you can ask for at this point. I do know what your thinking about draft picks and such, but as fans we can look at that, as players they want to win. They are too good and too old to tank, so it is what it is.
You want the Iggy years again, that's where we're headed.
My definition of 'competing' and yours clearly differ. We've been down the 1st/2nd round exit road for the last 6-7 years, and it's nothing short of fantasy to believe this group can do any better, if that well. A chance? Who have we beaten that isn't a lottery team or a 6-8 seed type team?
To me, it's either a championship run or rebuild, and this group ain't even in the solar system of being a championship contender.
But if getting some playoff games is good enough, then who am I to question that.
