Like I said, this ridiculous gimmick at least got Lillard a trophy, and Glenn and James got one more if they were never going to get the real thing again.

What's matter most are how players respond to their coaches over anything else, gimmicky hardware or not.

Doc is a great regular season coach. he gets **** on for his playoffs in which his lack of adjustments constantly cost his teams..and it be small **** like having Trez guard Jokic, Danny on Trae, not playing Maxey, playing Jordan..ironically the Celtics series was probably the only one I couldn't really blame on him as that was all Jo and Harden no showing.

Hearing from Bucks fans, it seems like his new thing will be over playing Bobby Portis but it also seems like he is playing the few young players the Bucks have..so maybe they Doc-proofed themselves by the roster make up.

Yet we don't ever hear his players complain about it other than outsiders. Adjustments are made if deemed necessary by his staff, else they are not doing their jobs. Are you satisfied with Willie Green?

There are two key factors at play here. First—and what I believe is the primary reason for the Bucks’ current success—is that Giannis and Dame have better motors and are more reliable..

Second, the format: a one-game, do-or-die scenario plays differently than a seven-game series. Doc’s weakness lies in his overly simplified schemes, which opponents can eventually counter, leaving him with no adjustments.

I’m uncertain how far the Bucks could go in a 7 game series against a top playoff team. However, I’d argue this team would have had a better shot at beating the Celtics in 2023 after holding a 3-2 lead. Unlike our team in 2023, I dont expect this Bucks team wouldn’t fold easily—they’d fight to the very last possession in a do-or-die game.

He adjusted try have Ben on trade
Trae before Danny got hurt, but starting Danny on him made sense if the want to encourage offensive load from Ben. Zubac literally started most games and average 30 minutes in that Jokic series than Trez. He needed Trez because Paul George was having a choking episode and they needed offense from somewhere besides Kawhi....Trez led them in scoring in game 7 and Jokic had his worst game in game 7 when Kawhi and George both choked.

Doc makes several adjustments, primarily with personnel or certain matchups... But sometimes you're just limited to what you have on the team. Also scheme as they emptied the clip his last year. Zones, switches 1-4 or 5 without Joel.... Maxey and Harden pick and pops in addition to what they do with Joel. Highlighting Maxey in moments, posting Tobias against smalls... Sometimes you have the team you have.
