other teams simply out math us

we don't have the shooters to keep up in a shootout. Relying on some super streaky guys in that role.

Cavs are damn good tho so it is what it is

We don't have the shooters, passers, ball handlers, shot creators and rebounders.

But apparently fraud Morey did a great job this off-season.

Not tanking properly given our pick protections and the talent in this draft is a more fireable offense than not making the playoffs with this roster.

Only 3 games behind the eighth seed, 3.5 games behind the seventh and 4 behind the 6th. It's not right to be such a horrible team and still be in play contention, but we are if Embiid and George, but Embiid in particular, can play 80% of their games the rest of the way. I'm not holding my breath.

Even if Morey decides to tank now, I don't know if other players and the ownership would support it. But also if we do not tank, we lose the pick and we lose in the first round of the playoffs, Morey could get fired.

Joel and this janky front office strategy is the whole reason they are tanking without trying. Play the games

Agree, and sadly, that's how they'll see it. My belief is they should force the issue by sitting Embiid and trading George but I don't think they have it in them to do that.

It's crazy how quiet the team and FO have been in general. Usually Morey is out somewhere yappin away.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

My belief is that it’s a 50-50 call, but you need to evaluate it over a longer timeframe.

Do you think fans will stay engaged watching the same team next season? Even if we make it past the second round, the regular season won’t be compelling if it’s just Maxey, George, and a sprinkle of McCain leading the way.

Our odds also worsen as the seasons progress, especially with the new CBA effectively giving every team a 3 year window. After that, it becomes a game of showing up and hoping you get a seat when the music stops. The problem is, we can’t even show up right now.

Given the current situation, it’s clear that the best move is to pivot.

But like you said, nobody has the balls to pull the trigger until it’s too late.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

You can't trade him in his first year of a max contract just cause you don't like him. He's playing better than some other max players and can make 3s.

We just need Joel to stay healthy for an entire season!
