hoping for a Thad Young type guy - little less D but a little more 3
Top recruit, turns out not to be as athletic/fluid/dynamic as the elite guys, develops into quality NBA player, lefty

Offensively, he just needs to develop more skills. Rico Hines can help him by letting him download Hines’ "6'9 offensive move package," similar to how he helped players like Siakam and OG become solid offensive threats.
Defensively, he needs to get stronger and gain more experience.
Overall, I think he's a high-quality signing for us on a two-way contract. I believe it's only a matter of time before he becomes a better shooting version of Oubre.
He's not on Oubre's level athletically.
What about Julian Champagnie?
Very similar size and below average athleticism as Julian.
If Edwards gains maturity and confidence and works hard, he could be a JC tier player IMO.

How about Isaiah Joe 2.0?

Re: Welcome Justin Edwards!
The guy I keep comparing Edwards to is Khris Middleton. Similar body type & his movement/athleticism on the court reminds me of him. He’s obviously got a very long way to go as a shot maker to warrant that comparison tho.

Re: Welcome Justin Edwards!
Wanted to bump this after the recent performances we've been getting from him. It's been an unexpected bright spot. I know we're losing, but he looks good out there. I watched one sequence where he was defending JWill last night and he was all over him, stayed disciplined, didn't foul...I thought he had him, but Williams made an incredible turnaround J on him. It was a case of great defense vrs greater offense. The fact that he is a willing defender and a bit tenacious is uplifting. Nick Nurse will probably never play him again. He'll get Council'd, but it was fun to watch last night.

Anyone who's 21 years old and scores 20+ points against a legit NBA team deserves some respect. He was fairly efficient as well (A lot more than PG lmao)

I'm hoping we may have something here, let's give him a good run of playing time this season to figure it out.

It's all fun and games until the opposing team starts game planning for you. But with that said I wish him all the best as a member of this team.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

If hope he's eventually good enough for teams to start game planning for.

He played well in the win against the Cavs and seems to be eating into Councils minutes. Keep up the good work young fella.
