Congrats Eagles fans. This city needed this after what the Phillies and Sixers have been putting us through. I'm a Miami fan but when they're not playing I root for the Eagles. Can't stand Mahomes, Kelce or the Chiefs.

I wouldn't put the Phils anywhere near the same place as the Sixers. The Phils are a classy, well run organization with an owner that cares and wants to win more than anything, but just haven't quite been able to get to the mountaintop. Still a fun team to watch and root for. The Sixers have been pretty much the opposite of that the last couple of years.

Really happy for Jalen Hurts, who I've loved as a player since college, just a class act and, especially in this day and age, a real role model. I never thought he could be more than a backup QB that anyone would want on their team due to his leadership and team-first mentality, but he made himself into an elite player. No one deserves this more than him.

Especially happy to see Andy Reid get that kind of ass kicking.

I agree that the Phillies are a well run organization. The problem is that there are teams like the Dodgers, Mets, and Yankees with even deeper pockets than the Phillies and the lack of a salary cap in baseball allows them to essentially buy their championships. While it's true that spending the most money doesn't guarantee a CHIP, it does give larger market teams an inherent advantage over smaller market teams. Hence why MLB needs a hard cap like the NFL.

The hard cap has less than a snowball's chance in hell of ever happening. The MLPA is by far the strongest players' association in all of sports, always has been, which is why they have no cap and all guaranteed contracts, which will never change.

I don't follow baseball the way I did as a kid, but there have been some well run organizations from smaller markets that have made noise in recent years (Tampa Bay, Arizona, Kansas City) and average size markets (Cleveland, Atlanta) that are good every year. It still comes down to good management and player development, even with deep pockets. But L.A. has gone off the rails spending in the last couple of years.

Welcome and love Marino cause he's from Pittsburgh. Imagine had the Steelers drafted him in the early 80s instead of Mike Malone, they would have the most Lombardi Trophy even today! We had fan favorite Ron Jaworski during that span so it wouldn't be right to draft Marino unless he doesn't mind taking the Arod route holding the clipboard for like 5 seasons.
