I assume David Roddy gets waived to make room.

Our under 30 talent has really improved. Not much frontline star power, but some usable pieces to work with.

Goddamnit Morey, why do you make it so hard to quit this team for the year? Love this signing even though I think it makes us better.

Walker was pretty good offensively for the Nets but was repeatedly benched for putting no effort in on the defensive end

He’s actually quite talented so hopefully takes defence a bit more seriously this time

Decente signing for that price, kid got some talent, for sure can be better than Reggie fricking Jackson or 37 year old Eric Gordon next season.

 I like the signing, but this certainly doesn't kill a tank.

This is an excuse for Maxey to be out for the year if they want it. And they should.

I started this thread to understand the purpose of the signing, and I believe The Process’s guess is likely correct.

If the second year is guaranteed or a team option it's a good deal. I think we could probably flip him for a 2nd sometime before next season's trade deadline because he's likely going to put up some counting stats the remainder of this season and has a path to rotation minutes even on a full roster next year.

I wanted us to get him last summer. Thought for sure he'd be a better option over both Gordon and Jackson. Now that we've signed him this late into a crappy season, I don't really care. What I do like is that he is relatively young and that should be the goal. To get younger and more athletic. He's both. He can also space the floor. He shot .38% with Brooklyn last season from three. If he can buy in to actually trying to play defense, then he'll be a regular rotational player. Right now he sucks at defense and that has been what has kept him from sticking in this league.

How does a 2-year contract work this far into the season? Did we just pay him for half-season when he didn't play for us?

Haven't been impressed so far but it's only been two games and this team has been in the dumps.
Looks to be a Oubre type of player good athlete, good size but not much of bball IQ

        Return to Philadelphia 76ers
