I think I can speak for a large portion of our fanbase saying this is all we wanted Simmons to do instead of only looking for assists or just completely freezing on the perimeter. Meanwhile renowned "bust" Evan Turner who did not have the handle or athleticism of Ben extended his career by using his size and aggressiveness.

Turner got a 4-72(!) deal that summer from Portland that was negative as soon as the ink dried on the strength of that one season in Boston.

Might still have the Hinkster had he kept this budding young talent

Okay, now I believe the Clippers will be punished. Unless everything Pablo released is complete bull, they're losing multiple firsts.

So Cam Thomas accepted the QO
Giddey and Bulls agreed to 4 year deal

But Kuminga and Grimes are still open cases
a slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting

It's getting harder for Silver to look the other way like he wants to now.

Sixers have one of Clippers 1rst round picks and they also have a 1rst round pick swap with Clippers in 2028 and 2029 respectively. If league punishes Clippers by stripping it of draft picks, what does that mean for the Sixers?

I think they would target any punishment specifically at the Clippers so they would likely target future year picks so 2030-2032 would be at risk for them.

If the Clippers escape major punishment, it’s likely because there are other owners who don’t want to be accountable for policing player endorsements. This one is incredibly brazen but I’m betting this isn’t the first time an owner has found a way to slip players some extra money.

It means those picks likely get better because the Clippers have fewer ways to get better.

And good Players probably dont go to a Team without picks to trade or use for reinforcement.

I saw someone "recommend" that the Clippers trade the rest of their picks for Zion before the league potentially yanks their picks away.

I mean, they can't tell the Clippers NOT to trade picks to get better before even admitting they're going to get punished.

Are we certain it was the Sixers that Ace threatened not to report to if drafted by?

Ace Bailey asks only 2 questions of any agent he is thinking of hiring.

1. How would you have handled my draft process...because you know it was not my fault!
2. How fast can you get me out of Utah ?
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

The league does have to approve trades though.

I've picked on Ace enough for his immaturity and bad decision making that I can't do it when he actually makes a good decision

I don’t see Silver vetoing a trade. Maybe he increases the penalty on the back end if they actually decide to punish them? I still think Silver wants to find a way to weasel out of the whole situation.

I would tend to agree, but I think it depends how far along in the process they are and what's on the table. If they're a couple weeks away from announcing they're penalizing the Clippers 4 firsts, I bet he would veto it.

Yeah… it wouldn’t surprise me if the reason he wants a new agent is to try and force a trade.
