I've said it in 4,762 threads and so I'll make it 4,763.... if the rumors of the Suns looking to move Amare are true... I think the Sixers should do whatever it takes to get him and that includes trading any of our players, our cap space, or this year's pick.

ESPN puts these kind of articles out all the time, and I think Gasol is always the most likely to get traded. Do the sixers have more to offer Memphis than Chicago? Although I like Sam, I would do a Gasol for Dalembert and Lou Will deal.

One thing I found odd was when Sheriden was referring to the high priced FA that have been traded.

If Gasol is dealt, it would mark the 10th time in the past season and a half that a superstar player -- or at least a player making superstar money -- had switched teams via a trade. The legit superstars who were traded were Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and the paid-like-superstar players (currently earning at least $10 million) were Rashard Lewis, Randolph, Jason Richardson, Theo Ratliff, Wally Szczerbiak and Steve Francis.

How much was that contract he signed again? Anyway, I didnt realize he was traded, I thought he just signed with Orlando.

Lewis was dealt in a sign and trade.

We'd be foolish to give up our pick this year. It would make all this losing useless.

Unless.........it just happened to be top 10 protected.

Technically,he got traded, but no way Seattle was paying Rashard Lewis 110 million dollars. He was free agent, so I guess its true.

If our pick (let's say it's #7) helps us obtain a player like Amare then how can the losing be "useless"?? It would seem to me that the losing made our team have a more attractive trade piece and that it meant something.

Memphis doesn't need LW. Gasol is also more attractive as a compliment to Dalembert IMO.
