It works on the trade checker but it doesn't work for me for a lot of reasons.
1) That first round pick is going to be in the 20s which as we learned last year... doesn't mean a whole lot
2) 2nd Rd Picks really have little to no value considering how many of them are just straight up SOLD on draft night
3) We just traded Korver... why would we want Kapono??
4) Nesterovic has another year and a half left on his deal that pays him over $8MIL in 08-09. NOT INTERESTED!
5) Kris Humphries is an "alright" player but certainly not enough to make up the difference in this trade.

Why would we want to give sam away? He is valuable and would be extremely hard to replace. In fact then we would have a hole at PF and Center. I can't see how 2nd rounders and a late 1st rounder and a soft ball-hogging stiff are fair compensation.
Rasho and Kapono were both mistake contracts, we should be given something in order to take them on.
I thought you rooted for both teams- I guess your true "roots" in canada show a bit with that trade proposal.

deal
Now is the perfect time to strike on Bargnani. He is having a down year, but his potential is limitless. Remember, Stefanski would have watched Bargnani go off on NJ in last year's playoffs. He showed glimpses of a post game to go with his perimeter game.
Check out this deal: throw in a pick from Orl and Tor

honestly of all the ridiculous trades proposed on this board this is one of the worst for the sixers.
i've said it before here and i'll say it again, trading dalembert for bargnani would be a horrible move. definitely has not earned his #1 pick status yet. until he becomes even remotely the impact player that sammy is, you will not see stefanski come close to this deal.
why does it seem like the people who continuously propose the trade are "also" raptors fans? hm..

I don't like Bargs' game at all. He may nave "potential", but I don't see that potential ever equaling winning basketball. What team has ever won a championship with a PF that averages 5.5 rebounds per 35 minutes and doesn't play defense?

True..
But I think I should have explained my reasoning for that trade, which is what I did in the fantasy thread but not in this thread (didn't have time today so I did a hit and run
Yeah, this trade is TERRIBLE from a Sixer fan perspective and great for Toronto but this is the type of trade I think you do if the Sixers are in full tank mode. Rasho's contract comes off the books in a year and he can be a valuable mentor to Jason Smith. Yes, Kapono's been down but he does replace some of the lost 3 pt shooting this team is missing now that Korver is gone. He's also relatively young, not on a bad contract and can play on both sides of the ball (not as well that Moon is starting over him). One of the best 3 pt shooters, he won't be difficult to trade. Humphries is turning into a good big, high energy, a hustle guy. Plus he's young and has room to improve. Good contract to boot. 1st round picks in the 20s I don't think are waste picks if done right. There is a lot of talent in Europe that could be drafted and kept in Europe for some time (the Spurs do this a lot. Mahmimi 2-3 years ago and Splitter this past year). The same can be said for second round picks. You could also sell these picks (why, I don't know).
OK, yes, Dalembert is fantastic now (I can't tell you how many times I've posted here that he'll be perfect beside Bosh). But, if I suggested this trade before this year began, I think some wouldn't have shat on it. Dalembert wasn't earning his contract before this season. I don't think you can get a package like this before this season (ie a team that's willing to take a monster contract for a guy who really wasn't earning it). It is really nice that he's now turning into Camby but you have to consider if he's worth the 10-11 mill that he's being paid. Now, as for Evans, he's ridiculously overpaid for what he does and signed for way too many years. Finding a suitor for him would be absolutely impossible. So, if a package comes along like this, from a management perspective, you might consider it. From a fan perspective, you might riot.
BTW, important lesson learned today in the NBA: if you are a fan of the opposing team against the Cavs, DO NOT piss off Lebron (see tonight's Portland game and the Toronto game a while back).

Dude, I don't care. That's cool. You're a fan of the Sixers and the trade I proposed was preposterous from a fan perspective but still a trade I would consider if the Sixers were in full tank mode.
BTW, I came from the Toronto board who's attacks on each other goes on pages and pages, they call each other names and posters get suspended pretty much regularly (sometimes even kicked out entirely). Most of their comments are like "Bosh should be traded" with no explanation given. So this doesn't really bug me.
