The Iguodala/Roy comparison is a lot closer than Mason/Rush/Moon are to Iguodala...not even close.

Financially the Iguodala/Roy comparison isn't closer than the Mason/Rush/Moon comparison. First let's establish that Moon is the most desirable player out of those three players and since Mason can run the PG position as well as SG/SF I'll place him over Rush.

Now how much is Roy worth? All things considered I can realistically see him getting max money because of his intangibles and leadership ability. What is max $13 million starting? Joe Johnson is making $13.5 million this season so Roy will get that money and holds that kind of value.
Iggy is NOT worth Kevin Martin money. Kevin signed for $50 over 5.
Josh Howard signed for $41.6 over 4 years. Iggy is NOT worth what Josh Howard is earning.
Gerald Wallace signed a contract $57 over 6 + $12 million incentives. Iggy is NOT worth what Gerald Wallace is getting.

Eduardo Najera $4.9
Willie Green
Desmond Mason $5 million

Okay I'm through with typing this I am looking at all of the bad contracts in the league and I am just happy that right now Iggy isn't one of them but he could have been. Thank you whoever his advisors are, thank you

You are aware how Portland has played for most of this year?

Portland has played well this year but that does not make Roy an Tim Duncan or Nash impact player. Portland for the record is 4 games over .500 and going into the allstar break on a 4 game losing streak. Not to mention they are 8-18 on the road. I still think that Roy is a second level allstar similar to Joe Johnson.

Portland had their run in December and have cooled off. Roy is a good player but lets not hype him up a lot because he is playing decent this year. Roy will be a good player in the league but I dont ever see him as one of the players you can build a championship team around.
