If we waive him, don't we lose his contract which we've traded our 3pt specialist for?

His contract comes off the books no matter what at this point so it doesn't make a difference.

Also... I was listening to Jody Mac on 950AM and I heard the first "Fire Ed Stefanski" call. The casual hoops fan on Philly is frustrating at times.

He expires either way. We just can't trade him (which can't be done now anyway.)

For all the dissapointment I have in Ed, I haven't stated "Fire Ed" yet. That'll come if he doesn't pull anything in Draft Night/ FA Season.

Despite my combative screen name, I'm a true Ed Lover at heart.... BK was given an entire decade and he never got it right... Stefanski's been here a little over two months.

As for GG, I say keep him all the way. I know he can't sniff any PT, but he's our only 3-point sharpshooter. He was draining threes last night. Granted, it was against the Knickerbockers, but the man can stroke it. If this team finds itself in the playoffs, you never know what matchups could call for a little GG. Also, injuries are always a possibility and he provides depth. I know it sounds possessive and even somewhat oppressing, but it's in the Sixers' best interest to keep GG stashed on the pine.

GG's fate is not a huge issue to me...but I wouldn't mind if they gave one of the young PFs a look, and if GG is the guy to be cut, so be it. I don't think it will happen, but I'd like to see Fazekas or Williams get a look.

It's the right thing, and they save around $350G.
