"Intelligence" would be an inappropriate word, a term a few of you are searching for is "basketball acumen"...Try again.

Hot Rod is still foolishly passing while penetrating to the basket. That leads often too many unforced turnovers and fastbreak-points. Overall I don't think his court awareness has improved.

What I like is his floater. He starts to hit that shot pretty often.

He had a big offensive rebound last night when he tipped the ball out to keep it alive at a crucial time. He also made a decent play on defense when he doubled Billups at the end of the Detroit game.

the mechanics on his shot have looked better to me as well. he used to look like he shot putted the ball now it looks much smoother to me.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Please tell me you are kidding. You are going to base this off of one game?

Let me give you the other 40+ games Thad has been better than Carney.

I gave up on Carney as soon as I saw his defense his first season. He's simply not a good enough defender or rebounder to start, period. His scoring is also really really inconsistent to be relied on, no more than a 4th option at best.

Thaddeus on the other hand, is a perfect complement to the rest of the team. If he stays healthy, he will have a successful career.

Dalembert

I haven't seen any Sixers games recently, but I can imagine that this lineup is deadly on the fastbreak.

Samson:

The Sixers are "up", bro...

Always nice to hear from the old-heads...hope that you are following it and enjoying it as much as we are. I've got tickets to take my boys on Wednesday night - the Center should be amped...and I will be on my feet when AI is introduced, showing him much love - and my guess is that I won't be alone.

(then I hope he jacks 30+ shots and we win)

bebopdeluxe, my mainest man,

I was just getting ready to deliver a typical old-school / Samson-serving to this character tk76... because, he decided to get cute when I say "What up ya'll" ...when he knew damn well I wasn't talking to himf...and as I hit quote...I read that you got me with the same line, so i HAD to laugh at myself for walking into it!

Kinda like 2002 when I STAYED SCHEMING on gettin Rasheed Wallace and Scottie Pippen from Portland for like Aaron McKie and ..oh I forget.. But the point is...I just gotta laugh at my dumb a$$ sometimes! haha!

and I am so jealous that you're seeing the Denver game!! I am just about finishing my first week of vacation this year ( my normal work schedule is T-S, 50 hours, and I get two weeks of vaca plus a week I earned from basically working all day every day in December..[i know my job sucks, thats a diff thread]) so I got tomorrow monday until back to the grrrrrrind.... and I was basically told I gotta use one of the weeks "early" in the year, so I took it in march..this week..... .then I realized AI was coming back next week... and I tried to reschedule vaca for next week but I couldn't! I am so jealous tho.

Not only have we been around longer than most, I know you and I certainly am a big AI fan, and I will have no problem admitting how much it hurt to see him go and despite the success we are having (OF WHICH I AM OF COURSE ECSTATIC ABOUT) I can't help but think *what if*... Oh well...

If only 2001 worked out...

But anyway brother sorry to ramble, great to see a RealGM Sixers Board "ORIGINAL OLD HEAD" / an old friend!

(P.S. As much as Andre Miller is playing his heart and soul out, wouldn't it be that much more special if it was AI runnin the point for this team and we were still havin the success?) Oh well... :football: :onfire: :vent:  :spam: :usa: :usa: :usa:

Iguodala.
He's a natural SF. They need a legit starting SG with a nice outside shot to complement Iguodala and Miller.

He hasn't been that much better and in 40 plus game please people be exageratting,Young really isn't that much better hes just getting favored by Mo Cheeks when it comes to minutes. When Carney gets his minutes he could be just as good, didn't you read the whole damn thread to make a stupid assumation about me. You know that say about assuming it makes an ass out of you and me...its more of battle then you guys think. Carney also has more experience in the nba, and his jumper i would to say is more established, while Young lives off dunks and layups and the occasional 15 ft jumper. Young is winning thus far, I'm an nba fan i dont base things off one game, but that jumpstarted the forum and it has been something on my mind the second we drafted Young, so please stop with this nonsense.
