Freshie, you're right about comparing Iguodala to Kobe BUT that being said, if Iguodala continues to play with the intensity he showed last night, he might just be worth of that comparison in the very near future. Could Kobe have played any better than Iguodala last night? Iguodala was knocking down 3's, taking it strong to the rim, playing outstanding defense on Deng, and distributing the ball to his teammates. What more would Kobe have done last night that Iguodala didn't do? Kobe may have put up 40 points but they would have come at the expense of his teammates. Iguodala knows when to pass the ball and when to take his shot and that in my opinion, is an attribute.
Again, I'm not saying Iguodala is at Kobe's level right now. He needs to show this kind of impact on a nightly basis. But Iguodala has grown leaps and bounds this season and he's shown that he can get better after each offseason.

Listen, I'm a big supporter of Iguodala, but he doesn't have the scorer's mentality or skill to be in the Kobe realm. When he started off so hot last night, Kobe would keep that up for the whole game (for better or worse) while Iguodala really deferred to his teammates and got everyone involved. He's valuable, but can't compare him to Kobe.

In a league where you need three stars to be an elite team, the Sixers have made a nice run with Iguodala and Miller playing like stars, and then the third star changing from night to night (Thad, Lou, Carney, Sam...)
Its a shame that Miller is 32, because his play has help the younger guys shine, but we are lucky to have one of the three stars we need in Iguodala, and likely a second in the making (Young.)
All of the talk about whether Iguodala will be a top level or second level star is interesting conjecture, but either way he is a great asset and has really begun to arrive. This is the second season in a row where Iguodala has raised his game to become a clutch performer during the final 25 games of the season. Hopefully that will translate into heroic play in the playoffs- maybe not this year, but in the near future.
