AI can make the pass like a great pg... but its just not on his priority list. Rose is a willing passer, and that might be enough if he can develop into the kind of guy that can get anywhere he wants on the court and be a dominant defender.

People talk abou JKidd's fancy passes- but what made him such a HOF winner was that he was big, strong and could get to wherevver he wanted on the court. He also was an amazing physical and quick defender of guards in his prime. Rose could develop both of those attributes, even if he never develops Kidd's gift for court vision.

On the plus side, Rose might be become a better finisher than Kidd (not that its a weakness in Kidd's game, but Rose has crazy strength and body control.)

Wait... who's the 2nd best prospect in this draft then??? This draft isn't deep and while you may have your doubts about him, you also have to agree that there's a chance (even if it's slim) that Rose has an upside in which he could become an all-star guard.

It's that upside that has him as the 2nd best prospect in this draft. That and that the fact that there are reasons to doubt just about everyone who's name will be called on draft night.

Great game.

CDR - chocked - plain and simple.

Kansas played great D - they are very well coached team.

Rose looked awesome in the 2nd half. Going to be a stud in the NBA.

If Arthur can bulk up a little I think he'd be a good NBA prospect that would fill out PF need.

Good night!

Rose can definitely score, but his scoring ability personally doesn't even count to me because 6'3 and under guys that can make a basket are a dime a dozen in the pros. It's all about his playmaking ability, then everything else outside of scoring. Make Steve Francis less of a self centered high scoring crowd pleaser and you have Derrick Rose.

I really don't see why so many people in this country have to attempt to compare Rose to well established NBA players at all costs. The Kidd comparisons are waaaay off base, he doesn't have the height, he doesn't have the passing skills, and he also lacks the Kidd rebounding.

My witty remark meter is being repaired tonight. But TGP, I'm now on the draft Darrel Authur train. also Chalmers.....just so I can use my Super Mario puns.

hell I'm going to give it a go.

Tonight, you guys are in for a treat/not-treat now it's time for KNUX-FUTURE'S NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECAPZ now with mor DAAAAAAAGGGGEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Kansas

Chalmers: Had he had missed that shot I would've used a ' sorry Mario your princesss is in a diffrent castle" remark but Noooooo some one had to make the damn shot, jerk.

Authur: His number is 00..............did they have all other numbers taken or somethin? He looks beastly out there at times. But if he's going become a sixer that Slim Shady nickname has to go. On a team with guys known as Iggy, Ping-Pong ball killer, Lou, Willay Green, Bald Spot, T-rex arms, Dunkz Hawd and Baby Legs...........that name just wouldn't fit.

Rush: He didn't feck up like his brothers.......but was it just me or did he looked bored out there?

Collins: His shoes need better tracktion.

Kaun: Tried to lose them the game by sucking to epic levels.

Jackson: Reboundz Hawd!

Self: hey Billy when stuff works like going inside and playing man defnse on Rose........DON'T **** CHANGE IT UP!!!

Memphis:

Rose: despite being a 2nd round talent acordding to our great talent evauator., he played okay......I guess. He won't eva win a chip.

CDR: Early signs of Carney-istis is missing clutch free-throws.............

Dorsey: Looks like a prick..but because I enjoy being able to eat without a tube I would never say that to his face.

That Big Dude: HOLY CARP THAT DUDE WAS HUGE.

Cal: Bu-but the free trows they don't matter.........

This was the best championship in recent memory....I'm going to leave before this topic is taken of course.............damn I'm tired.

This is Knux-Future..............I'm done here.........and VOTE!!!

+1 He has won me over this year. I had my doubts and he started off slowly, probably because he had to earn the respect and confidence of his team mates. But he has been far and away the best player in the tournament. Great combination of quickness and strength.
Don't worry, that builds character and you can never have too much character...

It was more the heart condition that ended Coleman's high-level playing days.
