What % chance does Philly have of beating Detroit in Rd 1?

I say 20%. We match well with Detroit, though we probably lose 4-2 or 4-1. It is key we win one of the 1st 2 games. We need some confidence early in the series.

I say 35%...Our style of play alone gives us a puncher's chance. That's what we're like....a power puncher. If we're off, we may catch one on the chin from a more technically skilled opponent, but if we land a few, we could overwhelm an opponent
The JB-S System....Zero Defects.

If Willie Green starts and plays major minutes: < 5%

Otherwise: ~ 20%.

I said 10%...I just don't think we're ready to play at that level of intensity for 7 games. Watching how this team fell off at the end of the season convinced me that - while it was a wonderful run - this team was clearly overachieving to get where they are, and against a team as good as the Pistons (with a bench that I now realize is much better than I thought), I just don't see them able to win 4 games.

If they win 2, I would be thrilled.

Woah woah where is the optimism? I think we have at least a 20% chance of taking this series, maybe even closer to 35. All of our matchups during the season were fairly close, and if we can go back to how we were playing in Feb-March then who knows what can happen...I am 100% sure that we will take at least one game, and somewhat confident that we can take it to six games. I'm not saying we will win, nor am I expecting to, but I'm hoping for the best...

I voted 20%. If they played the series 10 times, I think things could go well enough in 2 of those 10 series for the Sixers to barely pull it off.

Agree.

For the exact same defensive reasons.

We play Detroit seven times we win 2, meaning that I think we can maybe hang five games with them. It will be an early exit for us but playoffs are playoffs and i'm glad to see us there again. Didn't think it would happen this fast.

I really do not think the Sixers win a single game. But, it really doesn't matter to me ... They have had a very successful season and now I wait to see what happens in the off-season and then .... we do it all over again.

Now, back to the Phillies ...

What percentage? They have a better percentage than Christie Lee Cook of winning American Idol. Christie Lee Cook has been eliminated, but the 76ers will turn off the lights shortly. Traveling, Walking, foul, pass to the wrong man, 3 seconds, stupid shot, by Mr Reggie Evans. Reggie Evans, please stand up. You can now shut the lights for our 76ers. Thanks for the memories,Reg. Your the man, baby, your the man.

Unfortunately, now the question is what are the chance the Sixers lose 4 in a row (7 of 10) and then bounce back an pull of one of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history.

I know this team is resilient, but you might want to focus more on the play of the young guys than on the scoreboard.

Hope they prove me wrong.

My biggest fear right now is that the Sixers will get swept, go into next season on a 7 game losing streak, and have to learn how to win all over again. :P
