It would have been nice to go into the playoffs with a win rather than a 4 game losing streak but that's still not going to rain on my parade. The fact of the matter is that the end of the regular season has come and rather than talk about having a 0.6% chances of cracking into the Top 3 and how we can draft a savior with the 11 pick, we're talking about the playoffs.
Anyone know when Game 1 will be???

The schedule has not been announced.
BTW- anyone else remember that Jason Smith fan remarking how Smith never misses FT's down the stretch?
Saw some good things again from Thad and Lou, but the team play this last two weeks has regressed back to where it was 3 months ago.
Back then I would try to ignore the outcome and look for promising signs from the young guys. Its a shame that after such a great turnaround, the final month will be a return to that modus operandi.

Something along the lines of Trapzilla(Okafor) killed our poor T-Rex?
On a side note, how good is Thad going to be when he puts it all together. Jumpers, threes, drives, dishes, Oh My...
Haha yeah...
Thad is the only one who's been consistently bringing it these last 10 games. Even when he's played poorly he goes out there and busts his butt. Sky's the limit for this kid, I just want to fast forward 4 years and see what type of player he becomes...

Thaddeus needs to work on his handle and learn how to finish strong around the rim. He needs to dunk the ball when he's close to the rim. Those weak lay-ups haven't been cutting it lately.
Another thing I noticed was the play of Shav. He's looking like a much better option at the 4 than Smith and showed some really nice post moves tonight. Shame he didn't get more PT this season. Speaking of which, I find is worrisome that we didn't move Iguodala to SG earlier and slide Thad over to SF because of all the positions we needed depth at, it was PF. It would have been nice to have cut down on Evans minutes and given more PT to Smith and Shav.

eyeatoma: It's called saying the right things. Okafor will go where the $ is. That's always the way it works.
I agree about Shav. I'm excited to get him back next year. I still think he can be a contributor.
Likewise, I was flipping through the synergy sports tech subscription I have tonight, and they have all the Sixers summer league games charted. I went through and watched video of every one of Herbert Hill's field goal attempts. I definitely think it's possible he can contribute if he recovers. It's only summer league, but footwork is footwork, and length is length, and they translate. Next summer league should be interesting. I think Amundson's the odd man out.

Also, why hasn't Shav bulked up at all?
You don't hit the weight room to bulk up after getting a leg injury. Shav could stand to be in better physical shape along with Reggie Evans and Andre Miller.
The Bobcats guards lived in the paint last night. The Sixers have been getting murdered by the pick & roll and 3 pointer all season long...

I'm not expecting both to be on the team, but I am expecting both to be healthy and have an honest shot in the summer. And in the end, that's all you can ask.
(although with Ollie and Amundson both probably gone, and the sixers only have 14 guys on roster now, there is a possibility there's room for both. Two guys in the draft + 1 in fa = 15 man roster with both Shav and Hill).
