the only thing that really makes me upset about sendem is that he is a fairly valuable poster when he isn't droning on about iguodala. he actually brings up pretty fair points and can be pretty funny at times.

deal

Post#65 » by Mahorn at the 4 » Mon Apr 28, 2008 1:55 am

This may come down to a business decision for the future of the franchise. What if Iguodala wants a max deal and the team feels he is not worth it? Or, if another team offers a max and they offer a nice sign and trade?

What if:

- Dallas were to offer Dirk in an Iguodala package?
- Toronto were to offer a package involving Calderon and Bargnani?
- Miami / Seattle /Minny offered the 1st pick (if they win the lotto)? Adding Beasley... worth it?
- Hawks offered Josh Smith +
- Ellis and Pietrus from GS in a S & T

We'll have to see. Iguodala isn't a max player, but will get a nice deal. It's Ed's decision to make, we'll see what he does. The first two deals are somewhat interesting, but I don't know about the rest...none of them are likely.

All of those trades are overvaluing Iggy. Monta Ellis is better than Iggy, Calderon and Bargs are worth more than Iggy together while both not being NBA quality starters. Josh smith is better than Iggy. Considering how much Dallas gave up for Jason Kid what makes you think that they'd Dirk for an Iggy package? What would that package involve? Iggy, Thad, Jason Smith and 5 first round picks from us?

i'd fly to philly, pack his bags, sell his house, and buy his plane ticket to suckville.

are you kidding me? Chris Wallace and isiah thomas' love child would laugh that deal off.

I would trade Iguodala for Granger straight up if it were possible. Ditto for Joe Smith (though that's not happening). Point is, Iguodala has really devalued himself in this series. Ok, so he's not having a spectacular offensive output. But what is up with allowing Prince to shoot 11 for 12? And this from our so-called "best defender"?

If the right package were offered for Iguodala, I wouldn't hesitate at this point.

None of those trades would happen. First of all someone a while back mentioned Iguodala for Lemarcus Alrdridge. Would Portland do that? Thats about as fair as it gets in my opinion.

I can't imagine getting Aldridge for Iguodala at this point. Iguodala's value has completely plummeted in my opinion. It's one thing to get embarrassed one game. But to repeatedly get embarrassed is something else - and again, we're not talking LeBron James embarrassing Iguodala. We're talking Tayshawn Prince. Big difference there.
