If Reggie Evans converts his baskets like he did in games 1 and 3 and not try to handle the **** ball he could reasonably be a starter. A lunch pail type of guy. You always need one of those in your S5 if you're going to succeed. The Pistons won their only NBA title with Ben Wallace. And don't point to the Bulls. It was well known they would fail with Wallace as their PRIMARY big man.

Jim O'Brien was a great coach.
What? Jim O'Brien was an idiot. He didn't get along with the players, didn't get the best out of them, and coached absolutely ATROCIOUS defense. Unless of course you LIKE the other team making 10 3s a game.
I don't understand why everyone has a problem with Mo's coaching. So he didn't drastically alter his roster because he had faith in who was starting.
If you think he deserves to be fired for that, then so do 29 other NBA head coaches.
He took a team that wasn't supposed to win 25 games to competing with one of the top teams in the NBA in the playoffs.
Don't get spoiled. Because of him, this team went places where they have no business being.
Micheal:.... I mean, you wouldn't arrest a guy who just deals drugs from one person to another.

I believe that there are 2 types of head coaches:
1) the Cheerleader- coaches, more often than not former players, that set example for young players and demand respect because of their pedigree.
2) the Strategist- coaches that know more about Xs and Os and care less about the development of their players.
Cheerleaders are the type of coaches rebuilding programs need (especially with young players coming into this league who need guidance; who better than a hall of fame player). You only switch to the second category only if the players are more or less developed or the team is predominantly made of vets.
Cheeks fits more the first category and the Sixers are a rebuilding team who probably need more than 1 more year to rebuild itself into a perenial playoff team (lucky this year that the east is so weak; if the Sixers were in the West, they'll be with the Trailblazers and they are a better team than the Sixers). So, yeah. Keep him.

Two years from being two years away.
