Guess which team is suddenly ranked 30th, after years of BK purgatory at the top?
Granted, FA doesn't start for another two weeks or so, but here we go!
This is the most refreshing sight ever...

I would refer to it as "trying desperately to win with Iverson" purgatory personally and not BK purgatory, but to each his own.

Signing Kenny Thomas to a big time contract is considered desperately trying to win with Iverson?

How about signing Mutombo, Aaron Mckie, and Eric Snow to those huge extentions?

Saying that Billy King was trying to desperately win with Iverson is like saying a man with a toxicology 5 times above the legal limit was "desperately trying to successfully drive home as he mowed down 5 children and toppled a school bus."

Billy King is not capable of being a NBA GM. He failed in Philly. His career is over. You can't recover from signing so many players to long term deals that cripple a franchise because they can't perform on the court NEARLY to the percentage of the salary cap they assume.

EDIT ::that's SendEm's text, apparently I can't get the quote function to work correctly, but above this sentence is quoted, below this text is mine...
Bro I don't know much about you, I have read you argue here and there with other posters (some of whom I know and love...I can't remember who, I just remember thinking 'This f*****g guy...arguing with man Joe Blow.... JOE BLOW! The NERVE of this guy!"...
My point is, that was a great post, and it made me laugh. When we traded for Kenny Thomas, I remember that day, and I saw the trade, and I remember being like NOOOOOOOO! Not *ANOTHER* first round pick! Then we made him rich.
And Mutomob, McKie, and Snow.... even richer.... I remember thinking....If we didn't win with these guys, in fact we kinda got our ass kicked after game 1 with them, why are we paying them like we won the Finals 4-0 (Which I would have had no problem if we win it all in '01...no problem at all....The past years of suffering would have been ALL GOOD with me if we had the '01 Championship..)
Anyway great post brother, you made me laugh AND agree with you, a rarity for me on RealGM, especially on my beloved Sixers board.

WOW...that def is a refreshing sight.
Too bad there arent many big time FA's to go after...hopefully Stefanski doesnt rush to make a **** move and does something decent with it all.
o yea and seeing the knicks and the cap hell isiah left them with makes me crack up...the only damn guy that can make Billy King look smart with contracts.
