John Nash coming on 11:25 eastern on 76ers draft

Listen to John Nash now,live.

Sports 950 Philadelphia got caught with their draws down. Why would they bring on Comcast's and former sixers GM John Nash, after he admitted he really has not seen thse colege players play, other than the top 5. What a complete waste of time.

Ten minutes earlier at 11:15, Jody Mac felt that Speights was the wrong pick. He wanted Darrell Arthur. He stated that he did not see Speights hit outside shots. Jody Mac is completely wrong there, since Speights has a very good outside shot and lays the ball up with both hands. Jody goes on to say, he thought that Koufos and Hickson were also better choices for the 76ers. I totally disagree with Jody.

Here is my personal opinion on what the 76ers might do if free agency and trades with the cap money fails: They might look into visiting a possible trade for Darrell Arthur.

Arthur is now with the Grizzlies who are extremely thin in the frontcourt so I doubt they move him. Also, Stefanski said that Arthur was NOT one of the players the Sixers targeted during the draft. And finally, if the Sixers trade for big man who fell in the draft this year, it'll be for Jordan as reported by SF76.

I'm an Arthur guy but it's time to let the dream die since we have Speights. Also... has ANYONE ever been excited to hear John Nash give his opinion on anything??? The man is straight up BRUTAL!

Jody is correct in that Speights didn't attempt very many outside shots last year. From what I've gathered, and what I've seen in workouts, he has good form, and he did shoot 46% on the jump shots he did take, but his scoring primarily came in the post, off cuts, and in transition. In fact, 82% of his attempts came in those situations.

Look where De Andre Jordan was 4 months ago and look where he ended up going. Jordan was once a top 10 player. Maybe he will get better, but he never played a lot of minutes.

I remember Darrell Arthur from his high school days down in Texas. When he fist came out of high school I was exepecting big things from him. Once I saw him play at Kansas, I realized he went to the wrong school. He won a title at Kansas, but he was never a go to guy. He played very well in the title game against Memphis, but he never impressed me in the regular season. If Darrell had stayed home and played for the Longhorns, he would clearly have been a lottery pick. The tempo the Longhorns play would have brought out the best in Arthur.

Pretty much exactly what they needed.

The ability to hit a jumpshot from someone in the frontcourt is sorely needed on this team.

Dbods you are so right. When trying to defend us, you could be pretty sure nobody was pullingup for anything or fading out of the post to pop. It's a tribute to our athleticism that we scored as well as we did. We need that dimension
