I will post in FA thread if thats where you want me to

How about a new thread is started as of 7/1 instead of having to wade through the pages?

I don't know if you remember the Iverson Trade Thread but SF76 posted his info in there and since everyone looked at the same thread, people were able to be told on what page SF's most recent report was posted. By having an Official Free Agent Thread and an SF76 thread, things tend to be a little bit more jumbled. It's really not a big deal but I thought the Iverson Trade Thread was a success.

We can also all agree to quote his last report any time we refer to it in any capacity.

The Sixers traded Iverson????

Sorry, couldn't resist. Like most of you, I got little to no work done that day as I continually refreshed that thread looking for more updates. I also wasn't suggesting a separate thread, inasmuch as starting a brand new thread on the morning of 7/1. Admittedly, I figured the FA thread was about 15 pages long at this point and it appears to only be 2, so perhaps it isn't a big deal though.

I gave myself a half day at work that day and walked into Vegas Lounge JUST as the announcement hit...it was very surreal

Im comparing him to Webber because of his age and what he will cost. He was paid over 16 mill this past season plus he is 32. We can front load his contract but do you want to be paying him 13 mill when he is 35 or 36? We arnet one peice away. He wont vault us into chip contention. i would rather have Smith who is 10 years younger and will cost less and will be tradeable at the end of his contract.

When someone is as unstable as Sheed, it's pretty much out of his hands. Maybe he never takes his meds???

He has played with enough high end players that the respect issue should have kicked in by now, but he's still the same knucklehead he's always been. I'm amazed that Sheed's name has this much play for the Sixers. If he comes for the MLE, it's reasonable, otherwise, it's a disaster. He's not going to put them over the top, and there is no way an attitude like that enhances the development of the younger players on the team.
