OT- Kevin Ollie Story
Ok, nothing too exciting but I definitely found it amusing. So I was w/ my friend the other night and somehow it comes up that her old room mate dated kevin ollie. She then goes on to tell me some funny stories about him, for example, he would always stumble into the apartment and pass out on the floor. LOL. Kevin Ollie the drunk. Anyone else not see this coming? Hes the last sixer Id expect that from.

Now I know why the natural nickmate " Ollies follies" name I gave him years ago really does apply to this stiff.

Given his professionalism when he doesn't play and his hustle on the rare occasion he does, I don't appreciate people calling Ollie a stiff.

I wish more players were like Ollie. He's old school, just with very little talent. There is no punk in Ollie at all on the court.

If a team has a bunch of Kevin Ollies on their team, why bother selling tickets when their will not be any buyers, lol

For the first time in the history of the RealGM Sixers board, I wholeheartedly agree with CPops57... couldn't have said it better my self brother.

Probably the same as most college kids at some point in their lives...18-22 is a crazy time for most kids.
Ollie's longevity in this league speaks volumes about his character and work ethic. I have no problem if he somehow is on this roster again next season...especially if somehow they deal Miller.

If anybody can allow Kevin no talent Ollie to take a roster spot from Jamont Gordon, then this is not about talent, but it's about personality. You have to live here to understand this city. We want talent not a guy who gets an A in conduct from the school teacher. No more of "Ollies follies". Kevin it's time to get a real job.

i think there can be room for a guy like ollie on the bench. hes a poised veteran, im sure hes a good influence on the younger guys. his offense isnt much beyond the occasional jump shot, but he always plays hard, and he limits his turnovers. his defense changed the momentum of a coupla games this season, too.

You kind of lost me on this one...so if you live in Philadelphia, you can't understand interpersonal effectiveness and leadership as it relates to the overall success of an organization? If Gordon or McClellan outplay Ollie, I have no problem with Ollie finding another vocation...but I don't think Ollie is a bad thing on this roster either.
