I think I'd make a run at McCants now that they have Mike Miller. He put up some very solid numbers last year.

Re: Ideas for the answer to our 3 point shooting needs
I think the only real way to address the lack of shooting is to deal Andre Miller for a PG who can shoot the three. He is too old to be part of the Sixers longterm plans as the real timeline for this team is to keep the core of Iggy, Young, Speights, Williams, Dalembert, Carney together and build on it.
I would think a good many teams with a window to win a title right now would be willing to cough up some nice young talent or picks in order to get Dre Miller to help them make a run at winning now.
Cavs: Would likely part with Anderson Varejao, Boobie Gibson and maybe a 1st.
Bucks: Mo Williams and Charlie Villanueva.
Hawks: Mike Bibby, Josh Childress and a 1st for Rodney Caryney and Dre Miller, would give tons of caproom next summer instead of this summer and a better back up SF/SG.
Warriors: Al Harrington and Brandan Wright.

got a feeling thats their idea too...rodney needs to learn how to shoot off the dribble and have better balance off the dribble if thats to happen...i still have faith in him and if we dont sign a pf, i think he starts at the 2 guard on opening nite w iggy at the 3 and thad at the 4

McCants would have definitely been shopped if MIN got OJ Mayo, but even with Mike Miller, I think he could be traded. The experts said that MIN acquired Mike Miller to fix their three-point shooting problems, but they don't really have any. Last year, for players that averaged more than 10 PPG, they now have three players in the top 15 in 3P%, Foye, Miller, and McCants.
The knock on him is attitude, and he butted heads with Wittman last season -- generally from making mistakes by trying to do too much. On the other hand, the guy is no privilged punk. He's an incredibly hard worker, and when he was out for a year with the micro-fracture surgery, he put 25 pounds of muscle on his frame by living in the weight room. He averaged over 15 PPG for the Wolves coming off the bench. If I ran the Wolves, I'd let him start a season healthy, and give him plenty of minutes for the first six weeks. I don't doubt he could average over 20 PPG. Right now though, if the Wolves trade him, the lshine if off the lottery pick, and his trade value is in the dumpster.

Re: Ideas for the answer to our 3 point shooting needs
if we go the trade route... the grizzlies might be able to help fill our needs. they have a glut of guards and could stand to lose one (even two) of them.
green/evans FOR jaric works contractually. and the length of contracts is the same.
crittenton FOR jason smith works as well.
add some picks and you never know...
neither deal hurts their cap situation particularly. interesting possibility.

The pistons seem to be looking to shake things up. I know Hamilton doesnt hit threes too often but he is a great jump shooter. How bout s&t iggy, jason smith, and next years first for Rip and Maxiell.

Re: Ideas for the answer to our 3 point shooting needs
I don't think our desperation for a shooter is so bad that we should trade a Iggy, a player who has more value considering his age then RIP, plus last years first, plus next years first for Hamilton. Its not like we only have Brand for one year. Next year we will have the mid level exception to get a shooter if we can't acquire one this year. Plus, that trade would damage our depth at PF/C.
