I generally think that players who are the "face of the franchise" or talented young bigs should get a higher salary. Ellis is going to be the face of GS & I think his contract reflects that. Same goes for Kevin Martin who signed for 5/57 last year. Jefferson at 5/65 & Okafor at 6/72 make sense as well since they are talented, young bigs. Unfortunately, Chicago, generally a stingy franchise is reportedly paying Deng 6/71. IMO that is too high for him but that will push Iguodala's salary higher since he is a similar player.
