William gets interest from Cavs

Post#1 » by Philly Family » Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:45 pm

Is there any possibility that Williams would leave the sixers for the Cavs...I am sure he might be interested in playing with James and if the tell him he could start...might he leave? we do have the right to match so it does not seem likely...but possible? And if he wants to go does anyone think that maybe a sign and trade for West or someone might also be possible....West is a good shooter and also has good 3 point range and a tough defender.....

No reason to sign and trade him for an older, inferior player. And IF Eric Snow retires, the Cavs can offer him a max starting at $3.65 million a year, which is less than the $3.9 already offered by the Sixers. In other words, just asking about the guy doesn't mean there is anything that will really happen. It's more of an issue of the Cavs trying to put pressure on West's agent.
