It takes 2 sides to agree on a deal. Iggy's greedy and I don't think he's even good enough to get the 11.5 Mill he turned down the summer before.

He's supposedly asking for more than 14M per year. I'm pretty certain most teams would balk at that, unless they could unload a bad contract in exchange. I'm sure Philly would gladly give him 14M if they got to unload Evans and Green's contracts.

Given no team has that kind of cap space, I'm not sure your statement is accurate.

I'm sure neither Portland nor Miami wants to be stupid and overpay. Miami expects to be a serious player in the FA market in 2010 - that's why they haven't extended Marion. Portland has one of the smartest, craftiest GMs in the league. If Pritchard is ready to pay Iggy $14 million a year, I'm thinking we should keep Iggy because he might be worth it. That being said, I doubt that is the case and I doubt Iggy gets $14 million a season. Could happen, but would be too much in my opinion. Wanting something and asking for it in contract negotiations does not mean that is what you'll eventually get. But $12.5? That is probably reasonable given what the market has been like this off-season.
