Three 4Q possessions and no points, a fumble deep in Dallas territory and back-to-back sacks that a 10-year vet simply CANNOT take.
The physical part of McNabb's game is back...but the mental part of the game is simply not SB-worthy. I hope he gets his act together, 'cause this might be the best chance he has of getting back to the SB anytime soon.
Our edge-rush sucks pretty bad...and our LB's did not cover themselves in glory in Dallas, either. But Jackson looks legit, and that makes up for a lot of that. If our D can play better than they did against the Cowboys, I think we can go to the Super Bowl, but only if Donovan wises up and plays smart.
(IMO, of course)

I'm upset with the way the game turned out too. But I'm not a fan of throwing the football under pressure. They can easily get intercepted. I'd rather take the sack and ensure we have possession of the football. And/or McNabb can throw it out of bounds. But I don't like to risk possessions.

that game against pittsburgh certainly wasn't pretty, but the defense was absolutely incredible.

It was and it's because Jim Johnson did what Jim Johnson does best: Blitz and pressure the QB. Our Secondary's strengths come from the ability to be able to rotate to the football and pressure receivers.
We saw it when Ben Roethlisberger was under pressure and Brian Dawkins knocked the football away.
The Blitz doesn't just pressure the QB, it allows an extra defensive guy or two to make a play and that's HUGE. We have the perfect blitz team since 04. With Samuels, Dawkins, Sheppard in that secondary.
