Same reason why we don't bench Dalembert and go with Speights simply because in 3 years Speights might be a better player. This team is build to win now. You play your best players and there is no question that today, Miller is the better point guard of the two. Maybe one day Williams will be better, but he's not better today. He will play a lot, he will get time at the point, and if and when he's ready, he might become our point guard. However, for a team that is trying to contend, you play the best players and you play the young guys only as much as they earn it on their play today and not on their potential tomorrow. That's why I have no problem if Mo for example plays Reggie Evans ahead of Speights this season until the point he and the rest of the team feel comfortable that Speights is the better player on both ends of the court. We are not in position where we are forced to through young players in to the fire. This is no longer a rebuilding team. If we were in rebuilding mode, I agree with you, trade the few veterans you have and play all the young players as much as you can, develop them, and live with their mistakes. But we are fortunate enough not to be forced to to that and have good depth. The youngsters will play as much as their play dictates they play and that's a good position to be in.
