I'm more discouraged that we're just jogging until this summer when it'll be considered acceptable for us to part ways with Doc. He was fortunate to have hitched his wagon to Pierce, KG, Allen, and Rondo 13 years ago, but I can't foresee him ever pushing another team through a finish line ever again.

The tank would be liberating. Sometimes it feels exhausting to watch every game of a contending team. If I were to honestly look back, I would say the 14 and 15 seasons it was pretty fun to watch the games. We'd obviously lose most games but some young guys would get looks, some would impress, and I didn't care about the outcome.

If we did that this year I'd love watching Joe and Reed playing 20+ minutes a night, Maxey playing close to 40, letting Thybulle screw up a ton trying stuff on offense, etc. All knowing that next year we'll be back armed with a lotto pick and other stuff.

I can't quit, G-League is about to start. I need irrational optimism that someone on that team will come play for us this season and save us.
