Embiid should get it going soon. Glad we're finding ways to win. I love this team so far.

Can I be happy about liking Shake or will I just get hurt again?

Sixers Basketball.
Next week we will all be wondering if watching Lacrosse is the best move for our sanity.
I mean, this is a high possiblity outcome.

We play the Bulls next and depending on Furk and Danny we could perfectly be just as short on rotation players as today.
After that, our schedule for next week is the Knicks (without Tobias "the Randle killer" Harris) and the Bucks on a back to back and then the raptors and the pacers. So, should use next week to test if our offense is for real and to improve the defense, as today we had the 5th weakest strength of schedule.
I doubt Tobias is back for at least 2 or 3 weeks if previous players with COVID work as a reference.

One of Embiid’s biggest problems (besides not handling the double well and being turnover prone) is that he’s a floater for a big and is very slow to force the issue. Get it and go, make a decision & stop with the fancy iso stuff.
The golden rule should be if your a huge big like he is and you’ve dribbled the ball 4 times you’ve done something wrong.
Jokic is the exception because he’s an exceptionally gifted offensive player that runs the full gambit to an elite level (Floor General/Full tilt O hub which are the rarest to find and even rarer for a big).

Winning on the 2nd night of a back-to-back with three starters out (and an eight man rotation left) is impressive, even if it is against the Detroit Pistons.
We need to be very grateful for these wins, the shooting will inevitably regress at some point and that is when things will get messy. Based on the quality of our current rotation we should be battling for the play-in spots instead of the 1st seed.

Georges Niang is a starter on a good team in this league. What a steal in FA. I thought he was just a 3&D player, but his defense is even better than I expected, his playmaking too, he can also handle the ball and put it on the floor, finish in traffic.
I'm very impressed with this guy and how we got him!

We play at a slow pace, also Niang has great fundamentals on defense. Point A to point B with good posture/hands. For some that could take weeks to learn and months to move without thinking about it.... others it could take a life time or never happen.
Defense is as innate as offense and requires discipline, unfashionable it’s the opposite to offense. Two way players are a rare breed indeed.
Simple hard can be hard ask Harris about that lol Mr 8 dribble walking backwards to the 3pt line then pass it of with 8 seconds on the shot clock... yes he did that in the playoffs.

I know the play of Embiid has been concerning to some, but I don't think it's due to a decline. I think we're shifting more towards guard play and spacing at this point which is was everyone wanted. As great as Embiid is, him scoring 40 a night was only going to get a first round exit from the playoffs. Obviously he's going to have his nights. This upcoming schedule, I fully expect him to be a lot more involved on offense. Call me crazy, but i'll take this steady version of Embiid over the other one. We need him, he has to stay healthy, he has to play smarter and I think that is what we're starting to see. The dominant rim shattering, crashing all over the floor version needs to be over with. It was only getting him hurt and shortening his career. We're getting 20/9 out of him with great defense while also allowing our guards to do their thing. I'll happily take that as it equates to better basketball being played. We've had a soft schedule for sure, but I didn't expect us to beat the Bulls, and I thought Portland would clean the floor with us. We won both those games, lets just keep it going.

Stop the season now and let's head to the NBA finals.
MVP - Seth Curry
MIP -Georges Niang
6th man -- Shake Milton
Finals MVP - Tyrese Maxey
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Tisse is in health and safety protocols now. They're dropping like flies. I don't see how we keep this up for much longer. We are losing all our players.

So we're going to be down to 7 players + Bassey I guess? Bassey isn't really going to be playable with Embiid/Drummond/Reed all healthy, so I wonder if they call up Springer and Henry. Hopefully Korkmaz is back.

Here’s an idea
Maybe that idiot Morey shouldn’t be leaking to the media & should actually be motivating a max player to play
Crazy idea, I know

Blame missing players all you want, if only Morey wasn't an idiot and constructed a team with some depth, the Sixers would be in first place. Wait a second....

The only idiot is the fool who keeps hammering a GM that has built the first truly watchable team we've had here in a generation, and one that is actually built to compete in today's NBA. The same clown who defends a max contract miscreant who is so terrified of shooting a free throw that he's willing to schiit away a career.
