Moving this over::

I am beginning to think the Sixers may want to consider Maxey as our Ginobili. Pop realized that for odd reasons, Manu played better when he out there with the starters and he was more of the offense's focal point. So Pop did the unconventional move (especially at that time) and brought Manu off the bench to lead the unit when Tony sat.

Watching Maxey out there, he seems more comfortable and confident when he doesn't have Joel out there running the offense through him. I doubt Doc would ever do something as smart as Pop, but Maxey might be best served off the bench leading the second unit. Of course, this means we need to get a Simmons trade done.

I have to give the Sixers sans Embiid big time credit considering I said they were punting the game by sitting Embiid. Very entertaining and Maxey was great. Bench making 6 threes in 13 attempts also helped. Sixers need to find a way to unleash Maxey more when Embiid is playing the kid is really good when he just goes out there and plays and doesnt worry about stepping on Embiid's toes.

I don't disagree, but for one thing Doc doesn't have that kind of imagination, and for another it's going to be tougher and tougher selling a bench tole for Maxey if he keeps delivering performances like this one. And you're right, a trade would have to be made for a Haliburton or Murray to take over the starting PG position.
