As if to prove my point, you have your 6’0 son-in-law playing SG which prohibits us from having another sub 6’4 guard on the court with him due to getting outsized. Curry was a Ben Simmons pairing. Now he’s a mismatch.

He was an improvement over Josh Richardson and is a decent trade chip. I like Seth, but he is a very limiting player and has next to no athleticism. Brings a very tradable skill.

On a good contract.

We got up 14 and from that point played dumb, sloppy basketball, led by Embiid, whose decision making regressed 2-3 years tonight. The awful rebounding continues, and it's that and the lack of athleticism that will be killers in the playoffs. At least it was to a far superior team, but they were right there with 3-4 minutes left and just got out-executed down the stretch.

The team was built around Simmons, hence weak rebounding forwards that mostly stand in the corners because we had an athletic 6’10” PG who could rebound, kick out for threes but not shoot at all.

If we give up Green I’d love to replace him with Henrich from OKC.

I used to point out that Ingram can work on any team in the NBA while a team would have to build around Simmons to accentuate his strengths and hide his weaknesses as an argument against taking Ben #1. I never thought it’d bite us in the ass as much as it has.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Paul has a crazy strong work ethic hence why he became so great despite being barely 6’0 and zero explosive athleticism. Even now he’s on the vegan diet which he credits for prolonging his career.

Harden is a guy that spends most of his off time at strip clubs or famous rappers studios with their groupies. And a guy that comes into the season regularly out of shape.

I’m not sure his game is gonna age similar to guys like CP3 and LeBron.

using guys like Bron and CP3 as examples never works out.

its rare for dudes to play at this level for this long...not something you should expect from everyone.

This Harden slander has got to stop.

Because you hear a few reports, or see some posts of a guy enjoying his life on Instagram, all of a sudden you know what his work ethic is? I guess him being a top 5-7 player in the league the past 5-7 years is no indication of his work ethic.

I think Harden obviously works hard on his game. He’s one of the smartest and craftiest players of the past 20 years. I don’t think he works hard on his conditioning (or at least not in a while) which is what he’d need to do to extend his career like CP3 or Lebron.

LeBron is not human. He needs to be taken out of any equation. It’s just totally unfair to compare him to anybody.

Maybe CP3 could be used as a test case, but when I look at him he doesn’t scream “great shape!”. He looks pretty doughy to me. Doesn’t mean diet hasn’t helped him or he isn’t better conditioned than Harden (how would we know), but I think it’s just more luck with injuries right now and him being a great talent on a very good team with an excellent coach. Not because he ran more sprints over the summer.

Isn’t it weird how his efficiency became garbage as soon as the NBA changed the rules to avoid him getting those cheap fouls he used to get?

If they had those rules from the get-go then who knows if he would’ve been a top 5-7 player in the past like you mentioned.

You can ask any Nets fan on this planet about the bolded and they will tell you that he’s about as “conditioned” as Jared Dudley was during his last few seasons in the NBA. That’s played a role in his awful efficiency too.

Is there any reason to give Korkmaz 14 minutes and Joe 0 minutes, other than the fact that Korkmaz is on the team for a longer time? I'm tired of Glen's rigidity, but if we have another bad playoff loss this year, maybe this will get him fired.

And yet, here Doc is among the 15 greatest coaches in NBA history. Pretty obvious why he was chosen, because he sticks out like a sore thumb among the rest of this group. There are a few you might question on such a list, but Rivers is the only "oh, please stop" name here.

Very unlikely to beat these kinds of teams without a shot creator in the clutch. They have them; the Sixers don't.

Furk played the 14 minutes at point guard Maxey didn't play. Furkan isn't a great ball handler or anything but he's much better than Joe. Powell has looked completely lost whenever he's gotten in a competitive game. There's no other available point guards on the roster. Until Ben gets traded or Shake comes back or some other move is made it's just a roster issue. Hopefully something happens at the deadline.

Curry is also clearly not moving well, but can't take time off, again because of the lack of healthy guards, he needs to get to the all star break and recover.
