Matisse's chemistry with Joel on offense is getting pretty good. He's going to have so many wide open dunks with Harden here

I was thinking the same thing last night. Thybulle was a guy I didn't mind being included in trades because he'll need to be paid soon, but with Harden coming in and the chemistry with Embiid, his value here will skyrocket in the next couple of years. I see him kind of like a Michael Cooper on steroids, but filling that same kind of role with us.

Don't forget that it is really hard to acquire young impact guys with some upside to grow into plus value contracts, when you're over the cap.
Having Thybulle, Maxey, Joe, Milton, Springer, Reed and Bassey on rookie deals gives us some flexibility for the future. It is simply incredible how we've transformed our roster in the past two years by identifying young assets without having a top 20 pick.

It's pretty incredible what Morey did to completely turn-over the mess he got when arrived

Still think he got 1 important task to do and that is trade Tobias (+ ...) for that last piece, probably a very reliable 3 &D guy

It's nothing short of miraculous what Morey has done with the schiitshow he inherited, and as you say managed to keep all our promising youth in doing so. The job isn't finished yet, as I'm sure Tobias will be moved to free space to bring in more affordable talent to fill the roles around the core.

Thybulle and Maxey have star potential, and everyone else you named will either be developed into solid rotation pieces or can be used to acquire pieces over the next couple of seasons. I'd love to see Reed or Bassey step up as Embiid's backup so that spot doesn't have to be revisited in the next few off seasons.

Part of me hopes that is thybulle clicking and working it out...

But part of me hopes that it is the Sixers coaching and support staff doing their bit to develop young talent.

Im sure it’s a bit of both. It’s not an accident that since the current staff got to town we’ve seen players develop positively especially young guys like Maxey & Thybulle. I mean even Furk has made big strides in his game even if he can’t hit a shot anymore. Doc gets a ton of **** for his tactics & strategy but he’s done a great job of building a staff and culture on the team that’s now bearing fruit.

But it’s also a positive reflection on Thybulle that he’s been receptive and focused on improving his game. He looks like he’s really improved his understanding of the game, even if specific skills like shooting aren’t where we’d want them to be.

All you said is correct and let's also add Embiid's impact. He has become a vocal leader telling guys to shoot and do certain things on the court and they are responding to him. Responding to him in a way previous players would not.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.
